WHO CAN SUBMIT?
At this current stage, only a Baruch College student can submit pieces to RefractMag.
WHAT IS REQUIRED?
A medium-length (above 750 words) work of writing that is:
- 12 pt. font, Times New Roman or Arial preferred, double-spaced
- non-fiction including: longform journalism, creative non-fiction, academic essays, interactive media, multimedia content, etc.
- falls into one of a few categories including arts, sciences, literature, politics, or society-at-large.
*We appreciate if you include any appropriate multimedia such as images, artwork, videos, infographics, music, etc. that you feel fits your piece.
We would gladly accept any sort of multimedia content you would like to provide to tell your story; circumstances regarding length of a video, the format of a photo essay, etc. will be handled on a case-by-case basis, as will be long-form written works.

JOINING THE REFRACT STAFF?
If you’re a Baruch College student and interested in joining, you can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, with a writing sample of non-fiction work of your choosing. It is highly suggested that it follows the submission guidelines, and please include a small paragraph introducing yourself and explaining your interest in the magazine. We will get back to you promptly.
